Sorokin, Swayman, Vasilevskiy named Vezina Trophy finalists

Ilya Sorokin (New York Islanders), Jeremy Swayman (Boston Bruins), and Andrei Vasilevskiy (Tampa Bay Lightning) were named finalists for the 2026 Vezina Trophy on April 29, awarded annually to the NHL's best goaltender as voted by general managers. Sorokin posted a 2.68 GAA and NHL-leading seven shutouts and 452 high-danger saves in 55 games, while Swayman went 31-18-4 with a career-high in wins and a league-best 38 starts with at least a .900 save percentage. The winner will be announced at a later date; Sorokin is a second-time finalist, Swayman a first-time finalist, and Vasilevskiy led the league in wins this season.
