Source: Bichette to exercise $42M option to stay with Mets

Bo Bichette has decided to exercise his $42 million player option, confirming he will remain with the New York Mets for the upcoming season, according to a source who spoke to ESPN on Friday. The move keeps the infielder in New York rather than testing free agency. No additional contract terms beyond the $42 million option were specified in the report.
