Sources: Arsenal confident of signing Guimarães

Arsenal are increasingly confident of signing Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle United, with a transfer fee in excess of £70 million ($94m) expected, according to ESPN sources. The departure of Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has bolstered Arsenal's optimism, as Newcastle have now acknowledged Guimarães' desire to join the Premier League champions. Guimarães has made 153 Premier League appearances for Newcastle since joining from Lyon in January 2022.
