Sources: EuroLeague members reject NBA offer to merge into NBA Europe

EuroLeague members formally rejected an offer from the NBA this week to merge and create a single NBA Europe operation, according to sources who spoke to ESPN's Brian Windhorst. The NBA had proposed combining the two leagues into a unified European basketball league under the NBA umbrella. The rejection represents a significant setback for the NBA's ambitions to expand its footprint in European professional basketball.
