Sources: F1 plans Middle East finale amid doubts

Formula 1 plans to proceed with the final two races of the season in Qatar (Nov. 29) and Abu Dhabi (Dec. 6), according to sources who spoke to ESPN as of October 15. The status of these races had been uncertain due to ongoing Middle East hostilities, which previously led to the cancellation of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and the relocation of the Bahrain Grand Prix to Malaysia. F1 had told its 11 teams that an official decision would be made by mid-October, with Imola also constructing grandstands as a potential alternative venue.
