NC State is in serious discussions with former quarterback Philip Rivers about a coaching position at his alma mater, according to ESPN sources. However, reports indicate that a deal has not yet been finalized. Rivers, who played for NC State before his lengthy NFL career, would be returning to the program in a coaching capacity if an agreement is reached.
