Sources: Phillies to sign Nestor Cortes to Major League contract

Free-agent pitcher Nestor Cortes has agreed to a Major League contract with the Philadelphia Phillies, according to sources familiar with the deal. The veteran left-hander is being brought in to provide pitching depth for the Phillies. Cortes was previously with the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants organizations before this signing.
