South Africa v Australia: first men’s cricket Test, day one – live

South Africa and Australia are squaring off in the first men's Test match of their series at Kingsmead Cricket Ground in Durban, with play beginning at 9:30am local time. The two sides are currently ranked as the top two teams in the World Test Championship standings, having met in the most recent WTC final at Lord's, where South Africa defeated defending champions Australia. The series carries added historical weight, coming more than eight years after the Newlands sandpaper scandal that resulted in bans for Cameron Bancroft, David Warner, and Steve Smith.
