Southampton charged by EFL for spying on 'Boro
Southampton have been charged by the EFL with a breach of regulations after being accused of spying on a Middlesbrough training session ahead of their Championship play-off semifinal first leg at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday. The EFL received a complaint from Middlesbrough regarding alleged unauthorised filming on private property by someone connected to Southampton. The case will be referred to an Independent Disciplinary Commission, and the incident drew comparisons to Leeds United's £200,000 fine for spying on a Derby County training session in January 2019.
