Southgate ‘hardly watches’ football and does not envisage Premier League return

Former England manager Gareth Southgate has indicated he is unlikely to return to Premier League management, stating he 'hardly watches' football since leaving his role following England's defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final. Southgate revealed he last attended a match in May 2025, when he watched Crystal Palace beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final. He also admitted that towards the end of his tenure with England, he got only brief enjoyment from wins, saying he 'didn't even enjoy the wins' for more than a couple of minutes.
