Spain coach: Yamal will win many Ballon d'Or awards

Spain coach Luis de la Fuente won the Ballon d'Or men's coach of the year award on Monday after leading Spain to World Cup glory, and expressed strong belief that 19-year-old Lamine Yamal will win multiple Ballon d'Or titles in the future. Yamal finished behind Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappé and Bayern Munich's Harry Kane, who was crowned the 2026 men's Ballon d'Or winner, despite a strong 2025-26 season of 25 goals and 20 assists in 57 appearances. The Barcelona forward, already a 2024 European Champion and three-time LaLiga title winner, was also part of Spain's World Cup winning squad.
