Spain World Cup champions return home for parade

Spain's World Cup-winning squad returned to Madrid on Monday for a victory parade through the city's historic avenues after defeating Argentina 1-0 in the final held in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday. The 26-man team met with Spain's royals and Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez before boarding an open-top bus from near Moncloa Palace to Cibeles Square, where a ceremony was held. It was only Spain's second World Cup title, following their 2010 victory in South Africa.
