Spanish GP: George Russell tops first practice at new Madring as Lewis Hamilton frustrates other drivers

George Russell topped the first practice session for the Spanish Grand Prix at the new Madring circuit in Madrid, leading Mercedes team-mate Kimi Antonelli by 0.286 seconds in a one-two for the team. Lewis Hamilton finished fourth but drew criticism from several other drivers during the session. Ferrari showed early pace and were only half a second off the leading time, with qualifying scheduled for 3pm on Saturday.
