Spanish GP promises Madring track changes following F1 criticism
Organisers of the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid have confirmed they are open to modifying the 5.4km Madring circuit after its Formula 1 debut was criticised for a lack of overtaking opportunities. The circuit, located around Madrid's IFEMA fairgrounds, received praise for its facilities and driving challenge, but its medium-to-high-speed corner layout failed to produce on-track action across F1, F2, and F3 categories. The FIA has already provided recommendations, with changes targeting improved overtaking possibilities, particularly at the Turn 5 chicane, ahead of the 2027 race.
