St. Louis Blues sign Connor McMichael to a 6-year, $40.5 million contract

The St. Louis Blues have signed forward Connor McMichael to a six-year, $40.5 million contract, with a cap hit of $6.75 million per season through 2031-32. The deal was announced by new general manager Alex Steen and more than triples McMichael's previous salary of $2.1 million per year. The 25-year-old came to St. Louis from the Washington Capitals as part of the Jordan Kyrou trade, after recording career highs of 32 assists and 14 goals in 78 games last season.
