Stokes and Atkinson to join England Men's Test squad for Trent Bridge

Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson have been named in England's squad for the third Rothesay Test against New Zealand at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, after being cleared of violent conduct following an ECB disciplinary hearing related to an incident at a nightclub in the early hours of Monday 8 June. Both players were found to have breached contractual obligations regarding standards of conduct and have received written warnings, and were also excluded from selection for the second Test. The ECB concluded that Atkinson was the victim of unprovoked attacks and did not retaliate, while Stokes was not involved in or a witness to the altercation.
