Stone out for Golden Knights in Game 1 of West Final

Vegas Golden Knights captain Mark Stone missed Game 1 of the Western Conference Final against the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday at Ball Arena due to a lower-body injury, having not played since Game 3 of the second-round series against the Anaheim Ducks. The 34-year-old forward recorded 73 points in 60 regular-season games and seven points in nine playoff games this year. In his absence, Mitch Marner (who leads the NHL postseason with 18 points in 12 games) and Pavel Dorofeyev were credited by teammates for helping fill the void.
