Stopping Hamilton when he ‘smells blood’ will not be easy, Mercedes F1 boss says
Lewis Hamilton claimed his first victory as a Ferrari driver at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, closing to within 41 points of Mercedes championship leader Kimi Antonelli. Antonelli's late engine failure proved costly after the Italian had won five consecutive races, with his title lead now reduced to 41 points over Hamilton and George Russell a further nine points behind. Mercedes boss Toto Wolff warned that stopping Hamilton when he 'smells blood' will not be easy, drawing on his 12-year experience managing the seven-time world champion.
