Struggling Cal football team looks to avoid a fifth loss in six games

The Cal (California) college football team is struggling, having lost four of their last five games, and faces NC State in an attempt to avoid a fifth loss in six games. The team is fighting to become bowl eligible, which requires a winning record, and is looking for a strong finish to the season. The outcome also carries recruiting implications, as better results would give coaches a stronger pitch to future recruits.
