Tadej Pogacar calls for overhaul of cycling calendar as riders swelter in Tour de France heatwave

Tadej Pogacar, the reigning Tour de France champion and current holder of the yellow jersey, has called for a complete overhaul of the professional cycling calendar. The Slovenian rider made the appeal as competitors faced sweltering heat conditions during the ongoing Tour de France. Pogacar argued that race scheduling should be entirely redrafted to help riders avoid the most extreme summer temperatures.
