Tadej Pogacar lays out huge 2027 ambitions: Record sixth Tour de France and Vuelta redemption among three major targets

Tadej Pogacar has outlined three major targets for the 2027 season: a record sixth Tour de France victory, reclaiming the world champion's rainbow jersey, and winning the Vuelta a España — the only Grand Tour missing from his palmares after a crash ended his 2026 challenge while he was leading. The Slovenian made the announcement at a charity golf event in Volcji Potok, with his 2027 programme set to include the World Championships road race just six days before the Vuelta begins. Before 2026 is out, Pogacar will return to racing at the BeKing charity criterium in Monaco on 29 November alongside Urska Zigart, having been sidelined since September due to injuries.
