Tanzid makes history as Bangladesh dominate first Australia Test

Tanzid Hasan became the first Bangladeshi to score a Test century in Australia, hitting 101 as Bangladesh reached 351-6 at stumps on Day Two of the first Test in Darwin on 14 August 2026. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto contributed 84 as Bangladesh built a commanding 153-run lead over Australia with four wickets still in hand. Mehidy Hasan Miraz was unbeaten on 32 at the close, having been dropped by Cameron Green on the final ball of the day.
