Tatum caps 40-point night with buzzer-beater in OT to lift Celtics

Jayson Tatum scored 40 points and hit a 17-foot buzzer-beater in overtime to lift the Boston Celtics to a 125-124 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night. Tatum shot 10-of-20 from the field and 18-of-22 from the free throw line, with Paul George adding 20 points and Derrick White contributing 16. The win was Boston's third consecutive victory, while Brooklyn fell to 0-4 on the season; Tatum also became the first player in NBA history to score at least 40 points and hit a game-winning buzzer-beater in a game before November.
