Taylor Walls homers from each side of the plate to make Tampa Bay Rays history

Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Taylor Walls hit home runs from both sides of the plate in a 12-4 victory over the Athletics on Tuesday, August 12, 2026, becoming the first switch-hitter to accomplish the feat twice for the AL-leading Rays. Walls previously achieved the same feat on April 18, 2023, against Cincinnati. The 30-year-old hit his first homer of the night left-handed in the fourth inning off Athletics starter Mason Barnett.
