Tebogo set to take on Gout in Lausanne

Letsile Tebogo of Botswana and Australian teenage prodigy Gout Gout will clash in the 200m at the Wanda Diamond League Athletissima meeting in Lausanne on 21 August. Tebogo won the Olympic title in Paris with an African record of 19.46 and previously ran 19.64 in Lausanne, while Gout set a world U20 record of 19.67 in April 2026. The two sprinters have met only once before, in the semi-finals of the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, where Tebogo prevailed.
