Ten British stars to watch at the European Athletics Championships

The UK will host the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham for the first time, with 98 British athletes competing at Alexander Stadium. Four-time European champion Matthew Hudson-Smith, the European 400m record holder, will compete on his home track aiming for a fifth title, while sprinter Romell Glave returns as a gold contender after running a personal best of 9.97s this season. Olympic 800m champion Keely Hodgkinson is also competing, looking to complete a European hat-trick following her Paris 2024 gold medal.
