Tennis players plan ‘work-to-rule’ French Open media protest over prize money
Top tennis players are staging a 'work-to-rule' protest at the French Open over prize money disputes with the grand slams, a conflict that has been ongoing for more than a year. Players selected for Friday's opening press conferences at Roland Garros will walk out after exactly 15 minutes, symbolising the slams' allocation of approximately 15% of revenues to prize money. The remaining players will refuse to conduct additional interviews with the tournament's main media rights partners, TNT Sports and Eurosport.
