Tennis stars could boycott Grand Slams in prize money dispute, Aryna Sabalenka says
World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka warned on Tuesday at a news conference ahead of the Italian Open that top tennis players could boycott Grand Slams over prize money disputes. A group of leading ATP and WTA players expressed 'collective disappointment' at the 2026 French Open prize money, despite its total prize pool rising 9.5 percent from 2025 to €61.7 million ($72.3 million). The 28-year-old Belarusian, who has won four Grand Slam titles, said a boycott may be 'the only way to fight for our rights' regarding player representation and revenue share.
