Elena Rybakina defeated Coco Gauff 5-7, 6-2, 6-2 in the semifinals of the 2026 National Bank Open in Toronto, coming from a set down for the third time in the tournament. Iga Swiatek also advanced by beating Elina Svitolina 6-3, 1-6, 6-3, setting up a final between the two players who are tied 6-6 in their head-to-head record, with Rybakina having won their last two meetings. Rybakina became only the fourth player in the Open Era to win four three-set matches en route to a Canadian Open final, following Krasnoroutskaya (2003), Venus Williams (2014), and Andreescu (2019).
