Terence Crawford Signs Contract for New US-Japan Boxing Promotion
Terence Crawford, the retired 42-0 former undisputed super middleweight champion, signed a contract on Thursday, May 14, 2026, to launch a new boxing promotion based in Japan. He is partnering with Nagoya gym operator Gen Matsuda, who runs the 'SOUL FIGHTING' series at Nagoya Kinjofuto Arena, and Japanese combat sports star Ren Hiramoto. Crawford, 38, retired in December 2025 following his unanimous decision victory over Canelo Alvarez, having become the first male boxer to win undisputed titles in three weight classes.
