Texas women beat Fairleigh Dickinson to open season, but clearly are a work in progress

The Texas Longhorns women's basketball team opened their season with a win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday in Austin, despite losing five of their seven best players from last year's Women's Final Four squad. Madison Booker led the team with 24 points in the season opener. Head coach Vic Schaefer acknowledged the team is a work in progress but expressed confidence in their development.
