The Ashes 2027: Hampshire given men's Test after switch from Headingley in 2023

Hampshire's Utilita Bowl in Southampton will host a men's Ashes Test for the first time in 2027, making it the 10th UK ground to stage such a match. The absence of a northern England venue in 2027 is directly attributed to a 2023 scheduling switch, when a match was moved from Hampshire to Headingley during Australia's previous Ashes tour. As a result, both Old Trafford and Headingley will miss out on hosting a men's Ashes Test in the 2027 series.
