"The best decision I’ve ever made in my career" - Tom Pidcock's departure from INEOS turned his life around

Tom Pidcock, who left INEOS (Netcompany INEOS) after internal disputes, has described the departure as the best decision of his career ahead of this weekend's elite road cycling World Championships in Montréal, where he could claim his first rainbow jersey in that discipline. During his time at INEOS from 2021, Pidcock won Olympic Mountain Bike gold twice (2021 and 2024), a Tour de France stage at Alpe d'Huez, cyclocross world titles, Strade Bianche, and Amstel Gold Race, but managed only five road victories across four seasons.
