The biggest trade candidates who weren't dealt before the Deadline
The MLB Trade Deadline passed on Monday at 6 p.m. ET, with several major deals completed including Tarik Skubal to the Dodgers, Adley Rutschman to the Red Sox, Luis Arraez to the Phillies, and Robbie Ray to the Padres. However, a number of players who generated significant trade buzz remained with their teams, including Washington Nationals shortstop CJ Abrams, who was linked to the Yankees, Red Sox, Rays, and Brewers. Despite the rumors, the Nationals reportedly spent little time internally discussing offers for Abrams, who has two-plus years of team control remaining at age 25.
