The Grand National journeys starting next door to Stone

The Grand National, the UK's biggest horse race held each April at Aintree, has qualifying journeys that begin at Uttoxeter racecourse in Staffordshire, less than 15 miles from Stone. The Uttoxeter track hosts the Summer Cup, a premier summer jumps race traditionally used by trainers to qualify new horses for the Grand National. This year's Summer Cup is scheduled for 28th June, 2026.
