The Salford mum who set a world record at the London Marathon

Harriet Lucero, a mum from Salford, set a world record at the 2025 London Marathon by becoming the fastest woman to run the 26.2-mile race in a full football kit, completing the course in 4 hours, 52 minutes, and 17 seconds. She ran wearing a Winton Wanderers shirt, football socks, shin pads, and studded boots while carrying a ball, needing to finish in under 5 hours to claim the record. Her effort raised nearly £2,000 for grassroots club Winton Wanderers and mental health charity Mind in Salford.
