There's a seismic shift at the top of our latest MVP poll

MLB.com's latest MVP poll, voted on by 37 experts, shows Yordan Alvarez of the Houston Astros maintaining a commanding lead in the AL race with 181 total points and 34 first-place votes. Alvarez has dominated the poll since Aaron Judge suffered an injury in late May, and is currently being watched as a potential Triple Crown candidate. The NL side of the poll has seen its first major shakeup of the 2025 season, with neither Judge nor Shohei Ohtani leading either league's race.
