This is Australia’s best shot at the Bledisloe Cup in years – but beware an All Blacks side with a ‘point to prove’

The Australian Wallabies, buoyed by a recent victory over South Africa, face an injury-depleted New Zealand All Blacks side in Auckland in the first of two back-to-back Test matches for the Bledisloe Cup. Australia are considered to have one of their best chances in years to claim the trophy, though analysts warn the All Blacks will be motivated to prove a point despite their injury setbacks. The Bledisloe Cup series, contested annually between Australia and New Zealand, is a prestigious rugby union competition.
