Thriller: Daniel Dubois returns to his feet to stop Fabio Wardley in heavyweight classic

Daniel Dubois won the WBO heavyweight title by stopping Fabio Wardley in the 11th round in Manchester, England, handing Wardley the first defeat of his career. Despite being knocked down twice, Dubois recovered to inflict heavy damage on Wardley, whose right eye was swollen shut and nose badly cut before referee Howard Foster intervened 28 seconds into round 11. The victory was a significant comeback for Dubois, who had previously been accused of quitting in the fifth round against Oleksandr Usyk in July 2025.
