Thundering On powers clear for brilliant Oaks victory

Thundering On, trained by Joseph O'Brien and ridden by Irish champion jockey Dylan Browne McMonagle at odds of 5-1, won the Betfred Oaks at Epsom in dominant fashion. The Frankel filly came from last place to win by three-and-three-quarter lengths, with Legacy Link (trained by John and Thady Gosden) finishing as runner-up. The victory marked a Classic triumph for O'Brien, who had been unable to win the Oaks during his days as a jockey.
