Tielemans backs Carrick to stay in Utd job

Youri Tielemans has publicly backed Michael Carrick to remain as Manchester United manager despite the club's worst run of results since 2015, which included a 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth and a 4-1 Champions League loss to Como. Tielemans, who joined United from Aston Villa in the summer as one of three midfield signings, revealed that Carrick was a key reason he chose to move to Old Trafford. The United hierarchy decided against sacking Carrick, giving him time to turn results around despite widespread expectations of his dismissal.
