Tom Pidcock on chronic knee pain and a special mindset for the Tour de France: 'There is no better place'

Tom Pidcock, the 26-year-old British cyclist riding for Pinarello-Q36.5, has opened up about a chronic knee injury sustained during his time at INEOS and his mental approach ahead of the Tour de France in July 2026. Speaking on the podcast 'Frodeno Going Mental' for nearly an hour, Pidcock discussed his resilience and mindset, drawing on experiences such as recovering from a broken collarbone in June 2021 to win Olympic mountain bike gold in Tokyo just six weeks later. After finishing third in the 2025 Vuelta a España, expectations are high for a strong general classification result at this year's Tour.
