Tony Romo, NFL broadcaster, arrested on suspicion of OWI in Milwaukee
Former NFL quarterback and current broadcaster Tony Romo was arrested on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) on July 23, 2026, after being pulled over on Interstate 43 in Milwaukee shortly after 6 p.m. Romo had been in the area to participate in the Wisconsin Amateur Championship golf event in West Bend, which concluded earlier that day. He performed poorly on a field sobriety test according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, and has been given a court date of September 21.
