Top NHL prospects for 2026-27 season according to NHL.com

Gavin McKenna, selected with the No. 1 pick by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2026 NHL Draft on June 26, has been ranked as the top prospect for the 2026-27 NHL season by a panel of NHL.com writers. The 18-year-old forward, who played last season at Penn State University, finished ahead of Philadelphia Flyers forward Porter Martone and Chicago Blackhawks forward Anton Frondell in the panel's voting. More than 40 players received at least one vote in the rankings, which are based on Calder Trophy eligibility criteria, with the season set to begin on September 29.
