World number one Aryna Sabalenka and third-ranked Jessica Pegula were both eliminated in the fourth round of the WTA Toronto Masters hardcourt tournament on Saturday, August 9, 2026. Russian 15th seed Diana Shnaider defeated Pegula 6-3, 6-3 to advance to the quarterfinals, where she will face Poland's Iga Swiatek. Sabalenka was upset by Ekaterina Alexandrova in her fourth-round match.
