Tottenham agree £52million Jan Paul van Hecke transfer with Brighton - The Athletic

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a £52million deal with Brighton & Hove Albion to sign Dutch centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke, with no add-ons or bonuses included in the transfer fee. Van Hecke started 36 of Brighton's 38 Premier League matches in the 2025-26 season and had shown no interest in extending his contract, which expires in June 2027. A previous offer from Spurs had been rejected by Brighton before the two clubs reached the current agreement.
