Tottenham stun Chelsea for second league win in a week as Cole Palmer is sent off

Tottenham defeated Chelsea at Stamford Bridge for the first time since 2018 in what proved to be a chaotic finish to the match. Chelsea goalkeeper Mike Penders scored a costly own goal, and Cole Palmer was sent off after a second bookable offence — a lunge on Conor Gallagher — contributing to Chelsea's first home league defeat of the season. The result gave Spurs their second league victory in the space of a week, with Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso also criticised for his tactical decisions.
