Stage 12 of the 2026 Tour de France is a 179.1km route finishing in Chalon-sur-Saône, offering sprinters one of their last opportunities to win a stage. Tudor's Michael Storer suffered an early mechanical issue and was riding solo to rejoin the peloton, while the main bunch remained together in the early kilometres. Søren Wærenskjold had previously won what was described as the fastest ever Tour de France stage.
