Tour de France 2026: Stage 15 winner Remco Evenepoel criticises "inhuman" middle-of-the night doping tests

Remco Evenepoel won stage 15 of the 2026 Tour de France and publicly criticised anti-doping testers for conducting what he called 'inhuman' and 'disrespectful' middle-of-the-night tests, with Jonas Vingegaard woken at 02:00 and race leader Tadej Pogacar at 05:00 before the stage. Vingegaard subsequently crashed during stage 15 and broke his collarbone, ending his participation in the race. Evenepoel argued the timing of such tests was detrimental to rider wellbeing and performance.
