Tour de France 2026: Tim Merlier powers to stage seven win, Tadej Pogacar keeps yellow jersey

Tim Merlier won stage seven of the 2026 Tour de France in a bunch sprint finish on the flat 175.1km route from Hagetmau to Bordeaux, with Norway's Soren Waerenskjold finishing second and Eritrea's Biniam Girmay third. The Belgian rider outpaced compatriot Jasper Philipsen in the final 100 metres to claim his fourth career Tour de France stage win. Tadej Pogacar retained the overall leader's yellow jersey following the stage.
